Even though there are a lot of rough edges, I went live with the Old Kingdom blog. I've got heaps of tidying up to do. Because of the current structure, that means there separate instances of the template are live (Old Kingdom, Project News and Resources). Clearly the Priority is to work on the Old Kingdom template and I'll only copy back here occasionally. That means in the interim the template here may not be as up to date as the main blog.
In the medium term I'll move the styles out into an external style sheet but I want to be reasonably confident that the colour scheme is stable before I do that. I'll also generalised the javascript for tthe Recent Comments so that that can also be moved to an external file.
Priority One - unless a reader finds a nasty bug - is to tidy up the static resource pages.
